City Horse is an equine education program that connects students to horses and horse stables throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We are in need of a grant writer for our Field Trip program and In-School programs.
City Horse serves primarily low-income students of color attending nontraditional, underperforming and underfunded Title-1 schools. If you are an experienced grant writer that has a deep understanding of how hands-on programs like our benefit the whole student (improve academic performance, confidence, self esteem, integrity and responsibility), please contact us today.
The director of City Horse can provide you with all the information you need about who we are, who we serve and what we aspire to accomplish. We need a seasoned professional who can package our program and present it to local and national foundations.

Description
CITY HORSE CONNECTS STUDENTS THROUGHOUT THE BAY AREA WITH LOCAL HORSE STABLES IN THEIR AREA. STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN THE CITY HORSE PROGRAM AS AN ELECTIVE COURSE THROUGH THEIR SCHOOL AND RECEIVE ACADEMIC CREDIT FOR LEARNING HORSEMANSHIP, GROOMING, NUTRITION AND BARN MANAGEMENT.
CITY HORSE ALSO PROVIDES OUT-OF-SCHOOL AND AFTER-SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH INTERESTED IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT CAREERS AND LOCAL PROFESSIONALS WORKING IN AGRICULTURE, VETERINARY MEDICINE AND HORSEMANSHIP.
