We are currently looking for volunteers on:

4-8 people on Dec. 1 from 9am-Noon, and/or 1-4pm

8-10 people on December 8th from 9am - 12:30pm

AKA Science is a fun, hands-on after school science program for elementary school students. Volunteers are needed to count, sort and bundle supplies for the upcoming term. It's easy work, but there's lots to do! This is a casual, low-key volunteer opportunity for anyone who enjoys organization, team-work, learning and fun!

Location: Dancing Tree Family Center (10055 E Burnside St. Portland, OR 97216)

There's flexibility around what time to come on a particular day, though a commitment of at least 2 hours would be great! Up to 12 volunteers are needed for each day. 18 years old or 13 with an adult only please.

Required skills: light lifting and organizing.

Qualifications: Volunteers may be asked to sit, lift and bend, but we can provide tasks flexibly based on volunteers' physical needs. Directions: Dress comfortably, preferably with closed toe shoes. We will be indoors most of the time, but warm layers are recommended for moving between a conference room and a warehouse. Address: 10055 E Burnside St
