Are you interested in Social Justice Issues? Would you like hands-on experience with cases and client? If so, you would make an excellent Case Assistant! A Case Assistant is very involved in the logistics of preparing and following-up paperwork of actual cases, and can work into client interaction. English-only is fine in most cases. Those who wish can be trained for the Citizenship Team to meet with clients one-on-one to complete and file their cases.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Immigration Project is to improve access to affordable, high quality immigrant legal services in downstate Illinois.
Description
The Immigration Project provides access to quality legal services in Central and Southern Illinois where there are estimated to be 100,000 immigrants residing. Due to the complexity of immigration law, we have found that access to quality legal services is essential to keeping families united, building strong communities, and protecting victims of crime.
Our mission is to aid those seeking help in matters regarding immigration. We are dedicated to providing legal services to immigrants of all backgrounds to assist them with a broad range of immigrant issues, including naturalization (citizenship).
We offer individual attorney consultations and evaluations on immigration issues. Our staff are all fluent in Spanish. Topics include citizenship; assistance for victims of crimes, including domestic violence; family reunification; removal defense; and the fairly recent Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
