ORGANIZATION: Lutheran Social Service of MN

Organize and coordinate Extended Cultural Orientation events and guest speakers for newly arrived refugees, as well as folks who have been living in the United States for up to five years. This position is flexible--we want to work with your schedule and within your strengths and interests! Do you know how to do a specific craft? Can you lead a women's support circle? Host a soccer tournament for young adults? We want you to commit to at least one event per month, daytime preferred but evenings and weekends are possible.

Bilingual in Somali/English or Karen/English highly preffered.

Description

LSS is the largest, statewide non-profit social service agency in Minnesota with over 2, 400 employees who serve in 300 communities. It is owned by the six Minnesota synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Services are divided into four divisions:
