Healing 4 Heroes Founder Piper Hill
Healing4Heroes founder Piper Hill took several dogs in training to an outdoor event to show the public what trained dogs can do. The exercise also gives the dogs exposure to crowds, outdoor scenarios, different people and more.

Healing4Heroes TM is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to assisting those who have courageously served our country lead healthy, productive lives. Our objective is to connect wounded / disabled service members, as well as those with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury, with A.D.A. compliant service dogs. Both the life of the soldier and of the service dog will be enhanced by the presence of the other.

Healing4Heroes TM does not charge the veterans that go through our program for their service dog, initial training, or follow-up training. However, there are costs involved for the veteran for maintaining care for their new "Battle Buddy".

We are seeking experienced fundraisers who can assist us in raising money to cover the costs of our veteran's service dog. The funds raised will go towards training, shots, food, vet care, service vests, leashes, and crates.

One opportunity is for researching, creating, and entering fundraisers & challenges on social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).

The second opportunity is drafting items for publication on social media, (e.g. GoFund me, Kroger Plus Cards, AmazonSmile)

Volunteer will need to have experience with social media, internet searches and be willing to follow-up and take time to "share" and promote each fundraiser.

Mission Statement

Healing4Heroes™ is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization dedicated to assisting those who have courageously served our country lead healthy, productive lives. Our objective is to connect wounded / disabled service members, as well as those with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury, with A.D.A. compliant service dogs. Both the life of the soldier and of the service dog will be enhanced by the presence of the other.

Description

Healing4Heroes(tm) helps our military personnel and veterans move forward after being wounded both physically and/or mentally with the assistance of service animals. Healing4Heroes(tm) also saves the lives of unwanted shelter dogs by rescuing them and training them to become fully trained, A.D.A. complaint service animals. These dogs allow our soldiers to move forward and live more productive lives by allowing them to deal more effectively with their traumas and giving them the confidence and security to start to heal. At the same time, our veterans give these dogs a purpose in life and the chance to be loved and part of a family. The bond that develops between veteran and dog is one of a kind and each is saving the other. The dogs and training are provided free of charge to each veteran and cost our organization about $6000. Each veteran is directly involved in the training of their service dog, cementing that bond and starting the path of healing for vet and pet.
