We are looking for Volunteers to serve on our Web Design and Development team. Our focus is to develop an On Demand Learning Platform that makes access to quality instruction available 24/7. It is a 40-hour commitment per month initially and a ground-floor opportunity to help build something that will revolutionize learning, connect students from across the globe, and make a quality education available to all students regardless of where they live.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Support the development of our Online Learning Platform

• Support and influence of Grading and Data analysis application

• Ensure quality checks and proofing for any final produced items.

• Utilize our in-house development and project management tools

• Support the development of new ideas based on your interactions with stakeholders.

• Participate in Company Wide Professional Development initiatives

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, Photoshop, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress - WPMU (including developing themes, templates, and plugins)

• Experience with SEO, Google Analytics, a plus

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to modify existing code as needed

• Qualities such as dependability, reliability, initiative, a positive attitude toward the job

• The ability to stay highly organized with great attention to detail and be deadline oriented

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:

Our volunteer programs are focused on education development, 21st-century skill mastery, leadership development, and analytical thinking. Additional trainings include:

• Superior communication skills (written and verbal);

• Digital platform research, evaluate, and design.

• On Demand Economy

• Project Management

• Web Design and Code evaluation

• WPMU Management

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

24/7 Learn Volunteers are challenged to add value to projects and are encouraged to take risks, and think outside of the box. We invest in our interns by providing them with clear direction and leadership for a robust and rewarding experience. Our Interns do not serve as assistants, work on projects that directly generate revenue for the organization, and do not displace regular employees.
