Mission Statement
To offer hope to women in the sex industry by promoting healing, restoration, and empowerment through Christ's unconditional love, teaching practical life skills, and mentoring the transformational process.
Description
Oasis House is a faith based ministry, registered as a 501(C)3, to women involved in the adult sex industry (i.e. exotic dancers and prostitutes), who are broken and without hope. Many of these women have been victims of violence and sexual abuse as a childred before the age of 11. Addiction to alcohol and drugs are a means to numb them from the pain. They lack a stable support system and are often homeless, under educated, have children, and have a high rate of health related issues.
Each week an Outreach Team delivers food and the message of unconditional love to women in the adult entertainment clubs on the "Dixie Strip" to encourage them to begin the healing process.
Oasis House is supported soley by local churches and individuals.
Not only does Oasis House want to help women, but also to help change how these women are viewed in our communities by creating awareness and by telling the "whole truth."
