What is missing when 11% die by suicide? Hope.

Hope Xchange is dedicated to preventing suicide and improving mental health outcomes in our most vulnerable and high-risk populations: our bipolar community with a particularly focus on our LGBTQIA+ and youth.

We accomplish our mission by developing innovative, early intervention programs to reach those who are struggling with a mental illness wherever and whenever they need us most, connecting in a nonjudgemental way with understanding and compassion.

Anchored by a volunteer executive team, strategic advisors, peer mentors, mental health advocates and interns, all of whom care very deeply about community and mental wellness, our Hope Xchange family is very active in mental health and suicide prevention advocacy.

Our programs strengthen and empower those who are struggling with a mental illness by renewing life purpose and restoring hope, as that is how we have discovered you can save lives. We bring back love, laughter and light into the lives of those struggling to not only hold onto hope, but to life itself.

Each and every one of us deserves someone who cares and no one should every feel like they have to go through life alone. While highly functioning, our key executive staff and mentoring team have been diagnosed with a mental illness, so we truly get it.

We are seeking mentors for our free and confidential mentoring programs wherein balanced bipolars virtually mentor those who aren't there yet but, with a mentor, will get there; or who mentor someone who loves someone who is bipolar but doesn't understand or know how to help.

*You must be bipolar and "balanced" for this opportunity.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor, you can respond via Volunteer Match or you can enter your contact information on the page above, and note in the Comment section that you are interested in becoming a much needed mentor. (Note: if you need a mentor yourself, that's fine too; please just indicate such).
