Mission Statement
We Improve Access to Stoves to Save and Improve Lives in the Developing World
Description
Three billion people around the world cook their food by burning charcoal, wood, dung, and crop residues in open fires or rudimentary stoves. This has massive health, economic, and environmental repercussions.
PE is well known for its work in Sudan and Ethiopia, where it has worked with local organizations to assemble and distribute over 45,000 clean burning stoves. Now, PE is initiating expansion to Uganda, where we will distribute both stoves and renewable fuels like briquettes.
