We seek people who are excited to use their communication knowledge, skills and experience to work for LGBTQ equality in Houston. We encourage you to join a vibrant, energetic group of leaders in our community!

Social Media Creates and maintains effective marketing campaigns across interactive media including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Emphasize local impact when re-purposing national stories, and promotes events to engage supporters.

Web
Manages local web page. Edits, uploads, and updates news, photo, and event content. Regularly reviews content to ensure that webpage is vibrant and accurate, with new stories and photos displaying the work of the Houston committee. Utilizes web content management software for uploading and updating content.

Graphic Design Provides innovative graphic design solutions for print materials in support of fundraising and programmatic priorities. Creates original designs that enhance HRC's image using professional graphic design and page layout programs.

A successful HRC volunteer is one who takes action and gets things done; builds relationships and teamwork; communicates effectively and resolves conflicts; and supports transparency and demonstrates creativity.
