About Us

Do you know what harmful contaminants are in your water? How it gets there? What effect it has on your families and environment? Save the Water(tm) (STW(tm)) is the one looking for answers.

STW(tm) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to conduct water research to identify and remove harmful contaminants in water; and to raise public awareness about water contamination and its health impacts. STW also offers educational programs to excite young minds about water science.

Our volunteers are diverse professionals from all over the world bringing their knowledge and experience to STW because we care deeply about our communities and water resources. Are you someone with excellent communication skills and like to design and present ideas? At STW(tm) we are looking for a dynamic and detail oriented professional to assist with coordinating and designing presentations on water contamination and research.

The position holder would be required to conceptualize and deliver clear and compelling presentations on water contamination and research with supporting data. The candidate will also work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their ideas and successfully translate them into meaningful and simplified presentations to be presented in local Florida schools.

This position requires a commitment of minimum of 5 hours per week and be responsive to emails within three (3) calendar days.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist with coordinating and designing presentations on water contamination and research in local Florida schools. Topics including, but not limited to:

  • Exploring science with children

  • Universal design in science education

  • Water pollution hotspots

  • Water use and conservation

  • Life in a drop of water

  • Attend monthly Education Group meeting.

  • Report to Project Leader for the given project team

  • Complete the PWR at least on weekly minimum basis


  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.

  • Requires self - direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public.

  • Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department.

  • Living in the Miami-Dade area is preferred but not required.
