We are currently seeking "handy" volunteers to assist our facilities manager with maintenance and building projects. Project timing and involvement are flexible so you are able to volunteer according to whatever schedule best fits your needs. We are open 7 days a week from 8am-4pm. Help can range from 4-12 hours a week October through December. (snow removal help is also welcome throughout the winter)
General facility maintenance projects are also available for those with less carpentry skill. These projects include raking, weeding, laying stone, cage demolition, and painting. there are also some "build at home' carpentry projects which we are in need of assistance with and which can be done on your own time in your own workshop.

Description
A wild bird hospital. The Raptor Trust today is a large, modern complex, consisting of a medical infirmary, an education building, gift shop, and some 70 exterior cages and aviaries containing over 130,000 cubic feet of space. All the chambers are designed to accommodate recuperating birds that will be released, as well as unreleasable individuals that permanently reside at the facility. Recuperating birds are housed in secluded aviaries. Resident birds are housed in large aviaries accessible for public viewing. Approximately 50 raptors representing over 20 species of hawks, eagles, owls, and falcons are permanent residents at the Trust.
