Position Title: Superhero Run Marketing Volunteer
Organization Overview: Voices for CASA Children is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to support the nearly 13,000 abused and neglected children in the Maricopa foster care system through the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program. Our mission is to give every lost and voiceless child a brighter future.
Position Summary: The Superhero Marketing Volunteer will work directly with the Marketing Staff to execute marketing initiatives related to Voices’ annual Superhero Run which will be held on April 9, 2017.
Essential Duties:
Prior to the Event
- Collaborate with Marketing Staff and Community Outreach Team to build interest in the event with the goal of having 750 runners participate in the event through various marketing channels
At the Event
- Assist Marketing Staff and PR Firm in managing media participation
- Manage social media coverage of the event
After the Event
- Follow up with media agencies that provided coverage of the event
- Assist in archiving photos and other media related to the event
Required Skills & Characteristics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to work as part of a team
- Mission and purpose-driven
- Experience in community outreach preferred
- Experience in graphic design preferred

Time Commitment: This position must be willing to commit toworking on projects on a weekly basis, although there will be some weeks where no projects are available. This is anticipated to be a 20 hour a month time commitment.

Voices for CASA Children is dedicated to bringing a voice to every abused and neglected child in state dependency and supports expansion of the CASA of Maricopa County program
Description
The Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is:
a specially trained citizen-volunteer that advocates for the best interest of abused and neglected children in the courtroom and within the community.
They are appointed by the juvenile court judge and work alongside case managers, providers and the foster care system.
Advocates are empowered by the court and make critical recommendations to the judge.
The CASA will remain with the child until they are placed in a safe, permanent and loving home.
Voices for CASA Children (Voices) is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting advocacy for abused and neglected children in Maricopa County. Voices raises funds and provides resources to enable CASA of Maricopa County to recruit, train and support a larger volunteer force of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) who bring a consistent presence and a voice to these children.
