Help keep our clothing department organized and customer friendly. Volunteers needed for sorting donations: stock shelves & racks, assist customers and cashiers. The Second chance Thrift Store supports the work of Friends of the Carpenter in Vancouver, WA. We are always looking for volunteers and some have been there 6 years! fun and rewarding place to be.

Friends of the Carpenter is a non-profit, faith-based day facility that provides safety, structure and purpose for vulnerable members of our community.
Description
The mission of Friends of the Carpenter is to provide a safe and welcoming process and atmosphere where positive interchange and friendships are established between the homeless and poor of Vancouver, with the more secure and stable volunteers from our community. Through simple woodcraft assembly at worktables, an atmosphere of acceptance and positive conversations occur amongst the poor and the volunteers, leading to encouragement and friendships.
