Position Title: Email Marketing Volunteer

Organization Overview: Voices for CASA Children is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to support the nearly 13,000 abused and neglected children in the Maricopa foster care system through the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program. Our mission is to give every lost and voiceless child a brighter future.

Position Summary: The Email Marketing Volunteer will work directly with the Marketing Staff to execute email marketing campaigns to donors, supporters, volunteers, and CASAs Volunteers.

Essential Duties:

  • Collaborate with Marketing Staff to develop strategic, targeted email campaigns to meet established communication goals
  • Assist in developing thoughtful segmentation of our subscribers
  • Assist in developing a cohesive marketing plan for Voices
  • Develop email copy and graphics that are driven by our brand and encourage readers to act
  • Work with Program, Events and Marketing staff to plan and execute campaigns related to recruitment, events and other initiatives through Social Media
  • Participate in Marketing Team meetings

Required Skills & Characteristics

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to work as part of a team
  • Mission and purpose-driven
  • Experience in MailChimp
  • Experience in graphic design preferred
  • Experience in database management preferred

Time Commitment: This position must be willing to commit toworking on projects on a weekly basis, although there will be some weeks where no projects are available. This is anticipated to be a 20 hour a month time commitment.

Voices for CASA Children is dedicated to bringing a voice to every abused and neglected child in state dependency and supports expansion of the CASA of Maricopa County program

Description

The Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is:

a specially trained citizen-volunteer that advocates for the best interest of abused and neglected children in the courtroom and within the community.

They are appointed by the juvenile court judge and work alongside case managers, providers and the foster care system.

Advocates are empowered by the court and make critical recommendations to the judge.

The CASA will remain with the child until they are placed in a safe, permanent and loving home.

Voices for CASA Children (Voices) is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting advocacy for abused and neglected children in Maricopa County. Voices raises funds and provides resources to enable CASA of Maricopa County to recruit, train and support a larger volunteer force of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) who bring a consistent presence and a voice to these children.
