Konnect With Resources is looking for a Board Treasurer for our Non-Profit Organization.
The treasurer of our board will keep the organization’s financial records, approves purchases and invoices and otherwise oversees and keeps an eye on the organization’s finances. The treasurer also prepares and delivers a treasurer’s report at each of the board’s official meetings and prepares the documents for the annual tax forms that will be handed over to the CPA for complettion and filing.
Additionally:
- Bank account maintenance - Selecting a bank, signing checks, and investing excess funds wisely
- Financial transaction oversight - Being knowledgeable about who has access to the organization’s funds, and any outstanding bills or debts owed, as well as developing systems for keeping cash flow manageable
- Budgets - Developing the annual budget as well as comparing the actual revenues and expenses incurred against the budget
- Financial Policies - Overseeing the development and observation of the organization’s financial policies
- Reports - Keeping the board regularly informed of key financial events, trends, concerns, and assessment of fiscal health in addition to completing required financial reporting forms in a timely fashion and making these forms available to the board
- Finance Committee (if applicable) - Serving as Chair of the Finance Committee

Our organization focuses on creating a social networking platform that provides individuals like YOU with a searchable data base of local (YOUR neighborhood), regional and national non-profits and homeless shelters. These organization provide charitable low income resources and assistance to the individuals where you live. In addition to the data base being available to our Karing Community Members (YOU!), the organizations that have joined our cause also have the ability to network and connect with others of similar (or even diverse) interests, experiences and objectives. In other words, you can interact not only with other individuals but also any organization that is participating. Consider us "Facebook with a Purpose" (when you visit our site you will notice we offer many of the same features as Facebook)

"Social Media With a Purpose - Konnecting, Karing and Sharing"
- Konnect With Resources offers a data base connecting community members with the resources of charitable and service organizations in communities throughout the United States and beyond.
- In essence we are providing an opportunity to address social issues in general and poverty/homelessness specifically.
- Our social networking platform allows individuals as well as organizations as to connect with one another sharing program and project ideas, resources and of course making new friends!
- Whether an individual or an organization we provide a means and encourage those seeking and offering resources the capability to:
- Create unique profiles
- Propose, initiate and participate in new programs and projects
- Meet other individuals of similar or even disparate circumstances
- Share their experiences
- Create alliances (peer-to-peer, mentor to mentee, organization to volunteer, etc.)
