Airport Transfer:
Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, a shuttle bus or van will transport you and your language from the airport to VFSD offices or residential apartments in Kampala. This is paid during the registration process and the registration costs $200. This is done when you’ve filled the application fee it enables in application approval and program information preparation, communication and transportation on this is to done in a two weeks arrival.
Accommodation:
If you plan to volunteer for just a few weeks and more (1-4 weeks), we recommend that VFSD apartments would be most ideal accommodation arrangement. In Kampala city
Cost of the service programmed per head in Kampala:
Kampala District
1 month $ 1000
2 weeks $ 500
1 week $ 200
If you plan to volunteer for longer time (2 months and longer), we recommend that the most appropriate accommodation arrangement is staying at VFSD apartments (with electricity, running water, etc), in a secure environment close to the project site where you will be working. This is cheaper and more cost effective when you are staying for a couple of months or several months and more. In Kampala , you will have to pay the monthly charges only as shown above, when this option is chosen; here you will be free with your work. And touring programs are available at our offices. These are made due to inquiry or the interest of the volunteer or group of volunteers and tourism charges are paid differently and these coasts depend on the chosen area of the country were the volunteers could like to make a tour. Tourism coasts are paid separately from the volunteering coasts. Well Uganda a pearl of Africa is an exciting country for tourism if any volunteer will go for tourism should inform the administration before his or her arrival to Uganda for the smooth preparation of your programs.
