2017 Fiesta Especial Family FIESTAval Volunteers

On Saturday, April 1 st at Aggie Park, 70 Volunteers are needed to make this event a great success and experience for the attendees. The Fiesta Especial Family FIESTAval is a meet and greet for the Fiesta Especial Royal Court that is free and open for the public to attend. Individuals of all abilities and families are invited to come out and meet this year's royal court. Live music, games, activities, food and fun are all a part of the day's festivities. Merchandise, food and snacks are sold. Proceeds from this event are used to purchase the supplies, staff and resources for the Fiesta Especial Royal Court program.

The Fiesta Especial Royal Court is a leadership and life skills development program for individuals with physical, cognitive or sensory disabilities.

VOLUNTEER SHIFTS

Friday, March 31 st , 2017 (8am - 8pm) Baked Goods Pick-ups as scheduled

Saturday, April 1 st , 2017

  • 8:00am - 2:00pm Baked Goods Pick-ups
  • 10:00am - 1:00pm Set-up
  • 1:00pm - 4:00pm Set-up
  • 3:00pm - 8:00pm Event Volunteers (Greeters, Information Table, Bake Sales, Games/Activity
  • Booths, Photographer)
  • 7:00pm - 9:00pm Clean-up/Tear- down

The mission of Reaching Maximum Independence (RMI) is to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to reach their individual maximum level of independence. RMI's vision is for all people with IDD to be able to reach their individual maximum level of independence. RMI’s philosophy is that of Inclusion. All individuals should be able to fully engage in and benefit from all the resources and activities available within their community.

Description

RMI is a 501(c)3 non profit organization in San Antonio, Texas that provides a vast array of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. We provide residential and vocational programs to those individuals in and around San Antonio and Bexar county.
