ORGANIZATION: Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver

Happy Building!
Volunteers working together to raise a wall.

Denver’s growing population is putting incredible pressure on our housing inventory and driving prices to record high levels. As a result, many families with children simply can’t get by.

Habitat Metro Denver provides safe, affordable housing for more than 150 families each year through new home construction and repairs and we need many helping hands to make it possible.

Bring out your group for a day of team bonding while building a home!

Our builds are Wednesday through Saturday from 9:00am to 4:30pm and groups of up to 15 volunteers work at various sites year-round, with a higher need January through March.

No construction experience is necessary and all tools and safety equipment are provided.

Check out our current projects:

Sheridan Square New Construction (Hampden & Federal)

This development will be the largest in our history, with 63 energy-efficient homes that will create stable, affordable, and permanent housing for 130 adults and 225 children.

Home Repairs (Globeville and Elyria-Swansea neighborhood)

These essential repair projects help low-income families so they can continue living in safe, decent, and affordable homes for many years to come. Projects often include roof shingling, new siding and paint, porch repairs and new door and window installation.

Whichever opportunity you choose, you will be working alongside great staff and other volunteers building a better future for Denver families.
