About

This is about the most hands-on, creative, and cause-forward job you can find in the Bay Area! We are on the look-out for a talented marketing strategist that can develop and standardize our marketing practices for our nonprofit, and orchestrate and advertise program videos. Our ideal candidate is extremely organized, can manage and guide team members and interns, and has a strong marketing foundation!

You will be working with Bay-Area chefs, mission-focused partner non-profits such as Girls Inc, and a team of full-time employees, motivated interns from UC Berkeley, and community volunteers. You will also have the opportunity to work with our two Chef-in-training Americorps, and with local farms, restaurants and purveyors.

As Marketing Strategist, you will provide marketing promotion and strategize for growth. This includes things such as:

  • Orchestrate cooking videos with CIT interns and myself

  • Orchestrate our program videos

  • Throw together a cohesive communication plan

  • Standardize our mailchimp campaigns - approve our mailchimp campaigns

  • Write up newsletters to share our growth with our community

  • Advertise our classes

  • Reach out to bloggers, freelance writers, radio talk shows, and magazines to talk about the work we are doing!

Sprouts’ offices are located at the Impact Hub Oakland. Must be located in the Bay Area!

Commitments and Contract Period:

Rolling application

Part-Time Position (Hours can be discussed), $17/hour

20-30 hr per week

Qualifications

Strong organizational skills, cheerful and social disposition, enthusiasm for Sprouts mission, initiative, independence, ownership of tasks. Marketing experience, brand growth and vision skills required. Videography and video production experience preferred.
