Our team:

Doodles Academy comprises a group of volunteer artists and educators who believe that regular exposure to art is crucial in order for the next generation to develop into reflective and adaptable adults. We are posting this is an unpaid internship, and our Executive Director can work with you to meet the check-in and evaluation requirements of your program. We are also happy to work with you as a volunteer.

What we need:

This is a competitive position, and would be an ongoing role managing our Social Media accounts. While we have templates to use for our day-to-day presence, the Social Media Volunteer or Intern would be in charge of maintaining and growing our presence on social media, and building an engaged, active community with our users. The intern would:

1. Using the monthly templates/plan they would set up and maintain our cadence of posts and communication.
2. They would independently research and create a plan and SMART goals to engage and grow followers of our social media platform. Present this plan for approval, then execute it over an agreed-upon amount of time.

Who you are:

You are passionate about art education. You are articulate, and would represent our organization publicly in a warm, inviting, and always professional manner. You are reliable. You don't need prior experience, but you do need to be able to articulate a well thought out strategic plan and present it to the Marketing and Communications Committee.

The Support you would get:

You would have ongoing support from our Marketing and Communications committee, particularly around planning. We can also connect you to advisors depending on your independent project and vision. The intern will have support, but also have a good deal of autonomy, particularly in the day-to-day growth of our social media platform, so being able to research and develop goals, and work independently is key for this position.

-Adobe Spark (for design)

-CoSchedule (for scheduling social media)

-GoogleSuite (calendar, docs)

-Zoom (for meetings)

-Trello (for brainstorming and project planning)
