Pacific Science Center is home to a variety of fascinating animals - snakes and mole-rats, insects and spiders, a salt water tide pool model and of course our Tropical Butterfly House. Each animal is unique and interesting, and their remarkable qualities are often best revealed in in-depth conversations with their caretakers. The animal care volunteers work behind the scenes to maintain the animals and their habitats then bring what they’ve learned to our visitors, delivering interactive conversations and hands on experiences.
