ORGANIZATION: PET PAW RESCUE

Our non-profit organization is looking for Community Foster Parent(s) who would provide a loving, safe, caring and non-cage environment for our Baldwin Park and surrounding Community Cats/Kittens who need foster care to socialize and/or recover from sickness (uri-upper respiratory infection/congestion, spay/neuter surgery, etc.) in preparation for them to get adopted.

The length of time that these Cat(s)/Kitten(s) may need would be from a couple of weeks to possibly up to a year or so, depending on when they get adopted. We handle our adoptions thru word of mouth, Facebook posting with descriptions/pictures, RescueMe.org, etc.

So we need short term to long term committed foster homes within 20 minutes of Baldwin Park area for them and it would be great if in case of the need, each foster would have a backup family member, friend, etc. who Pet Paw Rescue has approved during vacations, long weekends, etc. We would require each potential foster home to fill out a form with full name, address, contact phone number(s), driver’s license information, email address and/or facebook page to friend you for contact. Also, we would like a schedule of when you would be available to do short/long term fostering to work around vacations, etc.

Pet Paw Rescue would also need transporters to pick up these Cat(s)/Kitten(s) from the Baldwin Park Animal Care & Control Center in Baldwin Park and also from the surrounding Communities to take them to their foster(s) home(s), if the foster themselves can’t pick them up. I would meet you at the Care Center to make sure everything is ready before you get there so that you can arrive with a proper size pet carrier (depending on weight of Cat(s)/Kitten(s), bottle of water for the Cat(s)/Kitten(s) and directions of where you are taking them, along with contact name and phone number to be on your way.

Pet Paw Rescue would help you foster the Cat(s)/Kitten(s)/family of Momma Cat/Kitten(s) by supplying their dry/canned food, litter, litter box, toys, etc. The Cat(s)/Kitten(s) would be made ready for adoption either by being previously spayed/neutered (before coming to the Care Center and/or from the previous home if Community), having them spayed/neutered, vaccinated (fvrcp/rabies), microchipped, dewormed, flea treatment, FIV/FeLV tested upon request at an additional fee to prospective adopters. We would also provide a copy of any Shelter paperwork including medical history up to the time that PPR rescue pulled them and any vet paperwork for Community/Shelter as you foster them.

A blank Community Foster Agreement is available if you would like to fill it out and attach it to an email back to us at petpawrescue@verizon.net, we can set you up in our system and issue an ID# for the Cat(s)/Kitten(s). All of our Fosters will have an ID# for tracking, accounting and data entry purposes.

Thank you very much for your interest in our Baldwin Park Animal Care & Control Center and Community Cats/Kittens!
