What we’ve got going on.
We change gender dynamics in economically challenged communities by teaching photography to girls. The girls then teach the boys. Girls build self-confidence while improving their leadership & presentation skills, while boys respect & value the girls in their communities.

We are looking for a new Board of Director with a passion for finances who can help us grow & expand as an organization so we can scale our programs to achieve greater impact. We have held workshops in Haiti, Kenya, India & NYC. A Uganda workshop is starting in 2017.

What makes you a rockstar for this role.
+ You understand global gender equality is more than a "girls only" effort. It can only be achieved when both girls & boys understand the importance of living as equals.

+ You love crunching numbers, creating & overseeing budgets and knowing what will make the IRS happy.

+ You are a natural at fundraising by networking with corporations, individuals, foundations & others; throwing successful fundraising events; and have no qualms about asking people to open up their wallets.

+ You communicate clearly. You write well. You inspire through the written word.

+ You are based locally to NYC for 4 quarterly Board Meetings + 3-5 hours of remote work per month. And you play well in the sandbox with others.

+ You are motivated & driven. You’ll take ownership of the time you spend as a Board Member & truly make a difference. You are slightly OCD about your work & take pride in it.

Extra awesome if
+ You have prior Board or Advisory Board experience.
