The Blog and Newsletter Volunteer’s duties is to regularly (weekly or bimonthly) update Light 11’s blog on the organization’s website as well as assist with the monthly newsletters. The selected volunteer will be expected to contribute to selection of images and bullet point descriptions of our organization’s news and updates, in addition to being responsible for creating insightful, ethical, objective blog posts and newsletter articles about news in the field of education and regarding the organization.

Our mission is to financially assist low income students on the path to higher education and create awareness of violence in urban communities, in honor of slain victims of violent crimes.
Description
Light11 is a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships to students from urban communities in honor of slain victims of violent crimes. In alignment with our mission, the organization aspires to assist urban youth with obtaining further education at the college level and bringing awareness to violent crimes in low income areas.
