Uplift is an initiative of professional volunteers looking to uplift lives of rural school children in Nepal. We provide afterschool programming to help kids learn and explore new things and learn academic through creative ways. We also provide mentoring and coaching to kids to help them choose future course of education and career. Afterschool activities include sports, arts, music, dance, community activities, horticulture, nature, crafts etc.

We are looking for an expert volunteer that can help us develop a strategic plan and project activities. We seek an expert with experience in child development, project development and fundraising.

Uplift creates opportunities for students to explore their inner-self to mindfully engage and indulge in academics and activities for an all-round development.

Description

Uplift is a voluntary initiative by group of professionals to act as a mentor for rural students. Rural students especially enrolled in government schools lack opportunities to excel in life. Our mentors provide after-school activities, coaching, and academic and career counseling to provide them the platform to grow.

To support our educational initiative, we focus on creating sustainable ventures for revenue generation. Our current focus areas are in community-based tourism, agro-development, and crafts. These social initiatives brings in income for rural communities, puts the kids in school, and provides Uplift with continous stream of revenue to continue our programmes.
