Village Harvest

Volunteer to Harvest:

We glean (harvest left-over/underutilized) produce from all over the island to benefit school lunch programs, after school programs and food banks. Volunteers will be harvesting fruits and/or vegetables and preparing them for delivery, alongside Malama Kauai Staff. This is a fun, community-engaging, outdoor event.

Volunteer to Deliver:

After the produce has been harvested, it needs to be transported to a "recipient site." This job usually does not require excessive driving because we give back to the community from which we gleaned. It requires a working car and driver's license and trunk space to fit bins of produce.

How to Sign Up:

Contact our Village Harvest Program Director, Sydney at (808)828-0685 extension 20 or villageharvest@malamakauai.org. For more information on Village Harvest and the many other programs and resources offered by Malama Kauai, visit malamakauai.org
