The board president is the face for PFLAG Winston-Salem. The President runs board meetings, is present at all or most chapter functions, meetings, and/or events, responds to inquiries from other community partner organizations, builds community relationships, participates in news media events, social media campaigns, or the like, and promotes the growth of the chapter by enforcing chapter by-laws, recruiting new board members, fostering open dialogue, connecting the chapter with National or local resources, and ensuring the financial stability of the chapter.
The President grooms the Vice President to take over the organization after the President's term is completed. The President also acts as the liaison to other PFLAG chapters, PFLAG National, and other organizations in and around the Winston-Salem community.
