To coordinate two fundraisers per year as per the bylaws. Ideas can be yours or can come from volunteers and board members. For this position, you must be able to brainstorm and coordinate event, lead volunteers and committees before and during fundraisers. Must be willing to be prepared to roll-up-sleeves and multitask to help make the event successful.
In the past we have had a great track record with our events. They have been well received by volunteers, board members and attendees. Our core group of volunteers are hardworking and dedicated to making each event the best.
To date we have had:
- CornHole Tournaments at Tab Ramos in Aberdeen
- Multiple small raffles
- Large raffle for a Chicago Black Hawks NHL Stanley Cup jersey signed by Trevor van Riemsdyk
- Brush & Brew event
- Chili and Open House Tour
- Exercise/workout event

Mission Statement
We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families whose homes have been affected by crisis. Our mission is to redecorate one room in these households from conception to completion in the most sustainable and creative way at no cost to them. The room of their choice includes furniture, artwork, home décor and small comforts of home from recycled, repurposed and refashioned items that are unique and special. New items are used as an alternative.
Description
Whether buying, renting or rebuilding a home after a crisis, furnishing it can be monetarily impossible and emotionally overwhelming. Other agencies offer furniture and household items but not complete coordination of a newly designed room. There is great demand for this service in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The request can be as simple as creating a fantasy bedroom for a preteen to designing a sitting room for a senior citizen to anything in between. Room In Our Hearts is positioned to complete these decorating challenges with style and grace by the most sustainable means possible.
