Great opportunity for students getting ready for finals! On December 1, 2, 5 and 6, people will begin dropping toys off at The Salvation Army that they have purchased for children. Volunteers will help these kind people unload their cars and arrange the toys inside the building in preparation for transportation to distribution point. There will be ample time between drop-offs for study, work or any other activity that can be done on-site. A quiet place to wait/study will be provided.

Description
The Salvation Army of Galveston County provides a transitional residential program in Galveston that seeks to restore and rebuild lives in Galveston by providing temporary shelter, case management and education services, and tools for securing employment. At the end of their stay, it is our desire that each one who participates leaves with employment, housing and the tools to maintain both. In addition, emergency rent, utility and food assistance is offered to Galveston County residents. Church services are offered on Galveston Island and in Texas City on Sunday mornings for anyone in the community.
