Love to talk about food? Love to cook? Love to help others?
We need volunteer culinary instructors, nutrition instructors, class assistants, and tour facilitators to teach families in our community that are at risk of hunger how to shop for and prepare healthy meals on a budget.
-Signature courses meet for 2 hours, once a week, for 6 weeks.
-Store tours are one-time events, ranging from 1.5-2 hours
Teach working families how to prepare simple, nutritious, and delicious recipes. We will work on basic kitchen skills, like how to safely use a knife. Help people make the most of their food choices on a limited budget. Have fun, develop your professional skills,expand your network and make a difference in YOUR community!
Cooking Matters provides training, curricula, and staff support. Volunteers share their time and expertise, follow program standards, and help ensure no child goes hungry! We are in high-need of ongoing volunteers. Please reach out via email if you are interested in volunteering with Cooking Matters.

In order to operate successfully we rely on the commitment of volunteers which allows us to serve and empower more families in our community. Our volunteers help us with duties ranging from helping with dishes to teaching classes, and everything in between!
