Monthly meetings begin for planning the Oct 14, 2017 race. We meet the second Monday of each month, starting Jan 9, 2017. On race day, the event begins at 7:30 am and goes until 2pm.

Description
GCCPG is the umbrella organization that looks at needs in the community, and then creates solutions. In 1999, a senior center was created, eventually becoming an assumed business organization called "Hayden Senior Center." In 2012, a mobile food bank was formed called, "Jumpin' Beans Mobile Food Bank," to bring nutrition to homebound individuals who are unable to get to a traditional food bank. In 2013, the "Hayden Lake Marathon" was formed to bring fitness to the area, and also spur econonmic development through tourism, healthy living, and donations of 100% of the proceeds of the race to youth sports, senior citizen causes, and local business growth.
