All it takes is compassion and a little time to become a hospice volunteer for VITAS Healthcare(r) Atlanta program.
Hospice volunteers spend time with patients at the end of life and their families-providing a listening ear and a warm and caring presence during a critical time in life. Volunteers are trained in communication skills, family dynamics and how to affect patients and their caregivers positively.
VITAS volunteers are prepared to visit private homes or nursing homes to provide relief care for loved ones, offer companionship for the patient, run errands and help in other small but meaningful ways. Volunteers are needed in all Henry,Clayton,Coweta,Meriwether,Pike,Spalding.

Volunteers are the heart of VITAS, providing friendly, non-medical patient and family care and offering support services in the office, using their cars and from their own homes.
