Responsibilities:
Patrol the St. Johns River to monitor the water quality and habitat conditions
Document problem areas
Conduct/Assist with River clean-ups
Requirements:
Must be 55 or older
Able to stand and walk for a period of time
Able to bend over and up to 5 lbs.

Mission Statement
Develop a variety of volunteer opportunities for community services for people, aged 55 and better, willing to share their experience, abilities, and skills for the betterment of their community and themselves.
Description
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is funded in part by a federal program entitled The Corporation for National and Community Service and the City of Jacksonville.
The dual purpose is to engage seniors 55 and better in volunteer service that meets critical community neeeds; and to provide a high quality volunteer experience that will enrich their lives.
