Childbirth Survival International (CSI) is an international 501(c)(3) incorporated in Maryland. CSI was founded in 2013 by Stella Mpanda, a veteran certified nurse midwife, master midwifery trainer and Tausi Suedi a global health specialist.
Stella Mpanda is based in Dar es Salaam and serves as the Tanzania Country Director and primary Africa Region Contact.
Tausi Suedi is based in Maryland and serves as the Country Team Leader/Chief Executive Officer.
Since 2013, CSI has made remarkable achievements to save lives of pregnant women, newborns, children in marginalized communities; trained frontline health workers primarily midwives and nurses; and continues to make a difference in communities which lack adequate health services and information reaching them.
CSI achievements have been made possible by an army of skilled, experienced, passionate, and dedicated volunteers. In order to reach many unreached women and children and youth, consider volunteering with CSI.
