The San Diego History Center tells the diverse story of our region - past, present and future - educates and enriches our community, preserves our history, and fosters civic pride.

The San Diego History Center is looking for volunteers to help with Balboa Park's December Nights on Friday, 12/1 and Saturday, 12/2. The History Center will be open for free to the public both evenings from 5:00-9:00pm.

Balboa Park December Nights, the nation’s premier holiday festival, will take place on Friday, December 1 and Saturday, December 2. Friends, families and the community are invited to come together for festive fun, food and attractions throughout the park, including complimentary admission to Balboa Park museums from 5-9pm. The largest free community festival in San Diego, December Nights is expected to attract more than 350,000 visitors to the park over two days to revel and enjoy the season.

We are in need of volunteers to assist with greeting visitors and monitoring the galleries within the museum. We are seeking volunteers to assist us from 4:45-9:15pm Friday (10 people) and Saturday (10 people). Dinner and dessert treats will be provided.
