Our programs help youth identify their own natural gifts and talents and then teaching them how to monetize these skills and use them to start a small business. We guide students through a dynamic B.A.S.E. curriculum (Business, Art & STEM Experiences), to develop the personal qualities that predict future professional success.

Description

Youth Entrepreneur Institute is established as a nonprofit in the District of Columbia. Youth Entrepreneur Institute (YEI) is a groundbreaking and exciting year round enrichment program that transforms elementary, middle and high school students into real, confident entrepreneurs. Throughout the program, students develop business ideas, write business plans, conduct market research, pitch their plans to a panel of mock investors (community members, and mentors) and actually launch and run their own companies. Complete with dynamic guest speakers from the local business community and exciting behind-the-scenes trips to DCRA, DC Tax Office, and Small Business administration, the fun, projects-based approach empowers students from critical at risk areas to take charge of their futures in a profound way.
