Custom Hospice is looking for a Hospice Volunteer to join our company. This rewarding, unpaid position provides support services and patient care to our Hospice patients.
Our Hospice Volunteers fill the gap between loved ones and professional caregivers and will be there even when friends and family find it hard to do so. Our volunteers are trained to meet the needs of patients and families, will visit the patient on a schedule and yet are open to change as dictated by the patient’s health and interests. Our volunteers are unpaid, yet serve an essential role and are priceless.
Requirements of the position:
- Caring, mature individual, supportive of the hospice concept, comfortable with his/her own spirituality and willing to serve others in a volunteer capacity
- Are kind, patient and dependable
- Possess the ability to work within the interdisciplinary Hospice group
- Previous volunteer experience preferred
