Cats about town! They need escorts!
Saving At Risk Animals (SARA) holds adoption events each weekend across the Tucson area. These events are opportunities for potential adopters to meet several SARA cats and kittens at the same time and choose their purrfect match, or to hold a pre-arranged "meet and greet" with a cat of interest. We need volunteers to help our kitties meet their people. What better way to get a kitty fix?
Event volunteers handle cats at the events, sharing information about their purrsonalities with potential adopters. Some weekends we’re east side, some west, and sometime central, we have events on Saturdays and Sundays and most are just three hours - we surely have a time and location that will work for you?
We also need volunteers to give rides to cats from foster homes who cannot make it to the adoption event. To be a "cat taxi" all you need is a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Children of at least 14-years of age may volunteer with a parent; volunteers must be 18 years old to handle a cat on their own.
Adoption events are an easy way to help us save lives. Whenever a kitty is adopted it opens a space for us to help another in need. Our continued success is directly related to our adoptions; our adoptions depend on fabulous volunteers like you!
Feel free to email or call us with questions, even if you’re not quite ready to commit. Questions are answered by volunteers too.
