Mission Statement
We exist to teach the fundamentals of hard work, teamwork, overcoming adversity, physical fitness and leadership in a positive, fun and safe environment. We will learn how to play football and cheer and compete to the best of our abilities.
Description
The organization is a non profit set up for all children ages 8-12 to learn football and cheerleading. Because we exist in an economically disadvantaged area, we need to keep registration fees for families reasonable. WBAYF must rely on sponsoring business for the necessary funds to purchase equipment and all our board members and coaches are volunteer. When possible, we look to assist the community. Most recently we were able to make a donation to the Wittenberg EMT and Ambulance group to help them purchase needed equipment.
Football and Cheer are the vehicles we use to teach self improvement, confidence and numerous life lessons to area youth. WBAYF is seen as as positive and inclusive part of our community.
