Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the American Red Cross. We would love to have your help! We are looking for volunteers to serve at the San Jose Donor Center and at blood drives throughout Santa Clara County. In particular, we need Donor Ambassadors to register donors when they arrive and to serve donors in the canteen after they donate. The American Red Cross is also in desperate need for drivers to deliver lifesaving blood products to local hospitals and clinics.
The San Jose Donor Center is open Monday, Friday, Saturday from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Blood drives can start as early as 8:00 AM and run as late as 7:00 PM. We are asking for a commitment of one 4-hour shift per month for 6 months. Shifts are generally 4 hours and you can sign up for the shifts that fit your schedule the best.
