Our organization, Kaleo Missions, is a partnership-based ministry dedicated to caring for the poor and marginalized people of the urban United States. Our summer intern position is a very demanding, fast paced, leadership position. The applicant will be serving on a ministry team, led by a City Director, and will be leading high school and middle school students into Christian urban ministry. This position is truly an incredible experience for our summer interns and they have the opportunity to learn and grow in many different ways as they serve at family homeless shelters, with summer programs for urban kids, running sports camps, and at addiction recovery programs. Each spring break and summer we host mission teams of high school, middle school, and college students. Our interns serve as "urban camp counselors," leading these teams in ministry. Tentative Dates: June - August 2017. Cost: free, room and board provided

Staff Team Size: We will select 5-6 people for each city: New Orleans, Portland, San Diego, Dallas and Minneapolis. Preference will be given to returning staff.

As we create our staff teams, we will have opportunities for each staff person to help with additional ministries such as leading worship, administrating children's ministry, photography/social media, etc.

Financial Support/Internship Credit: Many of our staff have received internship credit from their school for their ministry with Kaleo. Please contact us to discuss the specific requirements of your school. Also, if you would like to raise financial support from your church/friends/family, we will provide you with the resources you need to do so.
