Organization Restructuring- need help moving computers

Event Description:

Volunteers will be assisting with the organizational move of colleague workstations. With our limited resources, are IT teams does not have the manpower to make this move on it's own.

Volunteers will be needed to assist with the disassemble/reassemble the workstations at the new location and ensure the computers are operating properly.

Computer handling skills and/or those striving to be IT professionals is a must.

Skill Set:

Knowledge of computer parts and functions

Able to properly disconnect cords and reconnect them properly

You must be able to:

  • Lift at least 20lbs
  • Stand for periods of time
  • Able to follow directions
  • Work independently (to an extent)
  • Have a professional demeanor
  • Use discretion and confidentially rules



Additional Information:

Please wear comfortable shoes. Meet with the IT and volunteer team at 1355 Oakman Blvd for further assignment details.

Focus: HOPE is a human service organization. Founded in 1968 in the wake of the 1967 Detroit riots by Father Willam T. Cunningham (1930-1997) and co-founder Eleanor M. Josaitis (1931-2011), Focus: HOPE unites a multicultural community in common efforts to overcome injustice and build racial harmony. Over the years, Focus: HOPE has initiated practical solutions to the problems of hunger, economic disparity, inadequate education, and racial divisiveness. Answers can be found in Focus: HOPE's technology training programs, educational and corporate partnerships, and food programs.
