Kindred Hospice in Allegheny and Washington County needs Patient Support Volunteers to provide companionship and/or caregiver relief to our patients and their families.
"I would really like to volunteer" - how many times have you said this?
Now you can by simply keeping our patients with life limiting illnesses company - talking about memories, sports or current events. Perhaps you would like to read or play music for them. Do craft projects or play a game of cards. How about taking them to facility activities like concerts or BINGO!
Your time is improtant and we know you are busy that is why Kindred Hospice Volunteers make their own schedules for visits and also choose what area they wish to visit. All we ask is that you can visit a patient a minimum of 2 times per month for half an hour or more.
We provide you with training and tools to prepare you for your role as a hospice volunteer and to make this a rewarding experience for everyone.
