If you enjoy working with children, there are several positions in the Children's Library that may appeal to you--all require patience and a good sense of humor!
Children's Desk Help children find the materials they need; sign them up for Internet computer usage; help prep for programs and activities; shelve books (see below), and more.
Children's Shelving It takes a village to keep children's books, DVDs, and music CDs where they belong!
Grandparents & Books An afterschool, drop-in opportunity for children to have stories read to them. You can choose what to read during your shift.
Library Study Center Located at the north end of town, this afternoon program offers children a place to continue their learning throughout the summer and have fun!

Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
