ORGANIZATION: Social Impact Center

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

December is quickly approaching and we need community support to spread some holiday cheer!

We are looking for Volunteer Groups to host Holiday Drives through the earleir half of December (12/1 - 12/20). *Dates are flexible*

Through the Accelerator YMCA, we have supportive short-term housing and services for young adults transitioning from foster care or homelessness. This program includes eight locations throughout King County, near colleges: Auburn, Bellevue, Central, Downtown, Greenlake, Northgate, Shoreline and West Seattle.

*Seven of our houses house about 10 people each and one location (downtown) houses about 20 people.*

This year, we want to host holiday drives for each of these locations! Depending on the volunteer interest we receive, items collected can vary. In the past we’ve collected a large range of items (listed below). This a great group volunteer opportunity that you and your co-workers could host at your place of employment. It would be great for you and your group to take time to have "Wrapping Party" where you wrap the gifts before delivering them.
