About

The Member Services Researcher assists the Member Services Team Leader by researching, identifying, contacting, and tracking local companies that could potentially provide services to Village members.

This job is critical to establishing the Preferred Provider list, and being able to refer our members to these providers is a key component of the Village. By doing this job, the Volunteer can take pride and satisfaction in being a major contributor to the Village’s member services.

  • Identify companies within our area that could supply services to Village members
  • Enter information into the Village Preferred Provider database
  • Follow up with written information about the Village and Preferred Provider status
Responsibilities

Compile the initial list of candidate businesses using the provided list of business categories

  • Research each category
  • Compile a list of prospective businesses
  • Check for websites or other online information
  • Telephone the businesses to get
    • Name of the President/Owner/Manager (top person at that location)
    • Name of that person’s assistant/secretary
    • Correct address, telephone, and website (if applicable) for the business
  • Enter the information into the spreadsheet provided
