For one weekend in December, Wildlife Prairie Park is transformed into a winter wonderland! Families can come and make some holiday crafts, take a ride on Santa's Wildlife Express, play some holly jolly games, talk to Santa and Mrs. Claus, decorate a cookie, and watch the animals open their gifts!

We need volunteers who can: check guests in when they arrive, direct guests to activities, help kids with crafts and games, greet guests when they arrive, help with cookie dcorating, and more.

If you are in the holiday spirit and would like to share it with other, come on out to Wildlife Prairie Park!

The event is Friday, December 7th 4pm-8pm, Saturday, December 8th 2pm-8pm, and Sunday, December 9th 2pm-7pm.

Description

Wildlife Prairie Park has often been referred to as a jewel in the Midwest. Located just outside of Peoria, IL, this 2,000-acre zoological park is home to over 150 animals; that's 50 different species that are native to Illinois. Our guests come to learn about wolves, bison, waterfowl, black bears, elk, cougar, otter and much more.

Wildlife Prairie Park is a fun place to visit, and we take our commitment to education very seriously. The good news is we know how to make learning enjoyable! Our education department has developed tools to enrich your experience before, during and after your visit.

You will enjoy the park's spectacular natural landscape, our many avenues of recreation: hiking, biking, fishing, and lodging, and a train ride, too! Plan your visit today...an adventure awaits!
