You can be an integral part of the lives of the community's treasured Veterans through Cascade Hospice. As our patients near end-of-life, they so appreciate having someone who can understand what they've gone through and someone they can trust to hold their truths. We offer a free training on becoming a bedside companion, someone who can offer a hand to hold, a listening and empathetic ear or just to sit and be a calming presence. Hospice is not for those who are dying - it is for those who wish to live fully in the days they have remaining. If you would like to learn more about how you can become involved, visit: www.cascadehealth.org and click on the hospice volunteering tab.
