Junior Achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs.

JA of Rhode Island is looking for volunteers in the workforce or retired from the workforce to teach a 6-week program at a Middletown Middle School. Each week, for 45 minutes, the volunteer will lead students in an engaging discussion and activity relating to the Junior Achievement's program for It's My Future or Global Marketplace. JA It's My Future offers practical information about preparing for the working world. Students explore potential careers, discover the four factors to consider in choosing a career, and recognize basic job-hunting tools. JA Global Marketplace is designed to provide practical information about the key aspects of the global economy, what makes world trade work, and how trade affects students' daily lives.
